Purpose

This bill would provide funding for improvements to the wastewater treatment facility in the city of Aitkin. It would appropriate 5,000,000 from the bond proceeds fund to the Public Facilities Authority (PFA) to provide a grant to the city of Aitkin. The goal is to support design, construction, renovation, furnishing, and equipping of capital improvements at the facility, including updates to clarify systems and major projects to preserve or replace electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, as well as other site and building additions and renovations to support ongoing operations.

Main Provisions

• Subdivision 1 – Appropriation:
  • The 5,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to the Public Facilities Authority.
