Purpose

• To allow the commissioner of veterans affairs to direct agency resources to initiatives that help veterans with issues such as food insecurity, homelessness, and suicide prevention, among other critical issues.
• To create a formal annual reporting requirement about these efforts.

Main Provisions

• Adds a new subdivision (Subd. 6) to Minnesota Statutes 2024 section 196.22.
